Walter Sylvio Sirois

Walter Sylvio Cheyenne Sirois, 52, of Chubbuck, Idaho, just outside Pocatello, passed away from injuries sustained in an accident, June 29, 2002. He was known as Walter in high school, but changed his name to Cheyenne when he moved to Idaho.  He was born November 29, 1949, to Albert Joe and Gladys (Przygoda) Sirois in Oakland, California.  Cheyenne graduated from Tennyson High School, Class of 1967 and attended college for two years.  He spent two years in the Army and served in the Vietnam War.

Cheyenne married Fonda Jean Heath August 5, 1992.  He worked for the Union Pacific Railroad as a track maintenance foreman for the last eight years. Cheyenne was very involved in all aspects of the community. He served as captain for the Citizens on Parole in Chubbuck.  He was the founder of Southeast Idaho Riders Association.  Cheyenne enjoyed riding his Harley motorcycle, camping, fishing, the out-of-doors, and was just getting into black powder.

He is survived by his wife, Fonda Sirois, Chubbuck, Idaho; children, Mike Sirois, Roberts, Colorado; a step-son, John (Jodi) Walz, Pocatello,Idaho; daughters, Johana Sirois, Kelley Pena of Tracy, California; Tricia Sirois Russell, Reno, Nevada; Tonja Sirois, Stockton, California; grandsons, Jaden Pena, Tracy, California; and Gibson Walz, Pocatello, Idaho; sisters, Lucille Castillo, Antioch, California; and Helen Dowling, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
